Is a campus visit a must prior to being accepted to a university?
Do most universities expect the student to visit, tour the campus and meet with an admissions counselor before they will accept a student? We live on the other side of the country from this university and we are getting the impression that they only accept students that visit the campus. Is this a common practice? They are not specifically saying that’s the case, but I want to know if it will truly hurt the application if we can’t afford to spend $1200 to travel to the campus before acceptance.
