Under the circumstances, I would think not, but you might ask if there is a virtual tour you can take and perhaps an admissions counselor you can either email or talk with on the phone. Surely you don't want to commit yourself to a school you've never laid eyes on?

You might see if you can locate some current students or even recent alumni who would be willing to share a bit with you about what the school is like and what campus life is like. That way, you would get a feel for things and have a better idea of what to expect. The admissions office at the school may be able to put you in touch with some of these people if you ask them. It can't hurt, and it does show that you are interested, which is a plus for you.

Good luck!

I only visited one of my colleges before I was accepted. The rest, I applied to "blind", because like you, I couldn't afford to visit a school that hadn't even yet accepted me. I visited the rest once I knew I was in.

I didn't seem to have any problems with this. I got into very good universities, including some elites. But I don't know which uni you're talking about, so it's hard for me to be specific.

What colleges often do want is for you to have demonstrated a true interest in the school. If you know that you can't visit them in person, see if you can arrange for an appointment, via phone, with an admissions rep. Ask questions, and seem interested during that phone call. Follow it up with a formal thank-you letter, where you again express your genuine interest in the school.
