What is the typical cost for a rheumatologist visit?
I’m an uninsured 21 year old college student with severe pain in almost every joint in my body. The on-campus doctor strongly suggests that I visit a rheumatologist, however, I am worried about the cost. I’m not sure if it would be cheaper just to buy health insurance to help pay for repeat visits and/or prescriptions. Would anyone mind sharing their experiences with a rheumatologist, particularly regarding cost, frequency of visits, etc.?
